Los Angeles Business Journal Names Endeavor’s Banker to its Top 100 List

Endeavor Bank is proud to announce that the Los Angeles Business Journal has included our Senior Vice President and Regional Manager Duncan Hughes on its Top 100 Bankers list.

He and his fellow honorees were featured in the May 19 edition of the Business Journal and had the chance to network at a celebratory reception at the Journal’s office campus.

Supporting Endeavor Bank's Expansion

Duncan was a driving force in Endeavor Bank’s geographic expansion over the last year, and he now oversees our Northern Division of Los Angeles and Inland Empire. He has built a high-performing team and laid the groundwork for a regional office that has exceeded expectations for lending and depository production in a highly competitive market.

By investing in the development of his team and promoting local market engagement, Duncan not only advances the careers of his colleagues but also strengthens Endeavor Bank’s position as a community-focused institution.

A Foundation for Success

Duncan is redefining how financial services are delivered to small, closely held businesses across Los Angeles and beyond. By prioritizing personalized, white-glove service, he’s become an extension of client teams, ensuring they receive uniquely tailored solutions that address their immediate needs and long-term growth strategies.

“We are advisors,” Duncan says of the Endeavor Bank team. “We don’t compete where banking is just a commodity. Our mission is to forge deep business partnerships that drive success. At Endeavor Bank, we go beyond loans and deposits — our expertise, insights, and tailored solutions make us a trusted advisor, not just a bank."

Community Support

Duncan has a passion for giving back to his community. He previously served on the board of the Los Angeles Urban League, an organization promoting racial equality and economic empowerment.

Today, while focused on establishing a strong foothold for Endeavor Bank in the L.A, market, Duncan’s efforts are dedicated to supporting local business owners and community members impacted by climate change. His proactive approach to community business banking is evident in his leadership connecting Endeavor Bank’s clients and community members affected by the January wildfires in Los Angeles with the experts who can provide the critical support they need.

He has engaged insurance experts and other specialists to hold critical community conversations on the environmental and insurance challenges unique to California. He works to understand the immediate fallout from these disasters alongside the ongoing challenges, so his clients and community are always prepared and informed.

Next Steps

Duncan’s long-term vision is to establish a dedicated Endeavor Bank team leads across the regions of greater Los Angeles — from Central L.A. to San Gabriel Valley, South Bay, Inland Empire, and Orange County.

The growth initiative Duncan is leading reflects both his and Endeavor Bank’s belief in organic, region-specific consultative banking, where local expertise and leadership are at the forefront.
