With Mark Anderson retiring as Endeavor Bank’s Chief Operations Officer, we’re excited to promote one of our own into the role. We’re proud to announce Joanna Archer as Endeavor Bank’s new COO.
Who is Joanna Archer?
Joanna has been helping our clients and our team for years! She has more than 30 years of banking experience and deep expertise in central operations, treasury management, fraud monitoring, and digital banking systems. Her career began in the early 1990s and has spanned community banks, credit unions, and regional institutions — giving her a deep understanding of how to build and scale operational systems through change and growth.
Over the past year, she’s worked closely with our leadership team and with our outgoing COO Mark to prepare for this transition.
Rising up the Ranks
Joanna joined Endeavor Bank in 2020 as Director of Operations and was later promoted to Deputy Chief Operations Officer. Her recent promotion to COO reflects both her performance and the bank’s commitment to developing leadership from within.
“We’re very proud of our internal promotions,” said Endeavor Bank President Steve Sefton, “and Joanna is a perfect example of our succession program in action.”
Operating a Growing Bank
Joanna is sharp, steady, and solutions-driven. She has a talent for improving processes, reducing risk, and delivering the kind of high-touch support our clients and internal teams rely on every day. Her ability to navigate complex transitions while maintaining high operational standards has made her a trusted leader and a key part of Endeavor Bank’s continued growth.
“Joanna and I have worked together since the early 2000s,” said Endeavor Bank CEO Dan Yates. “I remember when she started as a manager, and it’s been a pleasure to watch her rise through the ranks to become our Chief Operations Officer.”
Fun Facts
Joanna loves anything that involves problem-solving, from puzzles and games to mysteries, crime stories, and, most of all, uncovering the best solutions for client needs.
A go-getter from the start, Joanna began working in banking at just 17 years old! She’s a relationship banker to her core, and her future aspirations include coaching our staff to expand our aptitude in emotional intelligence and positive psychology, a branch of psychology that focuses on human strengths, virtues, and factors that contribute to a fulfilling life.
We know she’s the right leader for the job. Congratulations, Joanna!
